The Olympic Museum in Switzerland has for many years been creating exhibitions that reveal the profound influence of sport on culture and society. The long history of Olympism provides the means of addressing numerous current societal themes.
Today we have the opportunity to offer you our “stadiums，Past and Future” exhibition. Through this exhibition, we wanted to underline the stadium's new place in society. The stadium, which is seen today as a real architectural gesture that presents social, technological and ecological challenges. An exhibition bringing together the various points of view of architects, users (athletes and supporters), city planners , politics and citizens.
This exhibition sets out to look at the stadium, this rather frightening colossus, through the prism of time. From its beginnings in Antiquity to the stadium of the future, the stadium will be looked at as a whole, and not just in terms of architecture.
