Spending a Happy New Year, Beauties and Kids, History and Myths, and Secular Life are the four main themes. Pictures exhibited reveal the particular folk customs in Tianjin. In the pictures, cute kids with kinds of looks and expressions, and modest and courteous ladies demonstrate traditional Chinese virtue and value. They are interesting and instructive, easier to understand and therefore deeply adored by Chinese people.On site of the exhibition, artists will show visitors the four main steps in creating New Year pictures. First, draw rough sketches on a piece of paper. Second, carve the rough sketch on the wood board. Third, print a few samples using water ink. And lastly, carve the wood board and paint them (usually no more than 5 colors). Put a piece of paper on the carved wood board and use brush to press it.
